Tree House Rates & Policies
Tree House booking highlights:
The renter must be 21 or older and be present at the tree house during the stay. There is a 2-night minimum stay. The required minimum age for children is 5 years old due to the tree house height. Please read the rental policy below for full details.
TREE HOUSE RENTAL POLICIES
Booking and Deposit Requirement: The renter must be 21 or older and be present at the tree house during the stay. There is a 2-night minimum stay. The required minimum age for children is 5 years old due to the tree house height. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation with the balance being charged to the credit card provided 30 days prior to arrival. Full payment is required if the reservation is made with 30 days of arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Listed rates are on a per night basis and do not include taxes.
Taxes: There is a 13.25% tax added to each reservation (7.25% state tax and 6% bed tax).
Maximum Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for each unit includes all overnight guests, regardless of age.
Maximum sleeping occupancy of Maple View and Buckeye Barn Tree Houses is 4. Never to exceed 6 people in the tree house at one time due to weight restrictions. Maximum sleeping occupancy of Safari Tree House is 2. Never to exceed 4 people in the tree house at one time due to weight restrictions.
A suspended cable bridge provides an entry to the Tree House decks. No more than 4 people are allowed on the bridge at one time. Please no running or jumping on the bridge.
Check In/Check Out: Check In Time is 4:00 pm, Check Out Time is 11:00 am. Please follow all ‘Check Out Instructions’ in the Welcome Notebook prior to leaving. Early check-ins and late check-outs are not permitted unless approved by management prior to arrival.
Damages/Cleaning Fee: The lodge and tree houses have been designed and furnished with the highest quality of materials and amenities. We expect that our guests will respect the inside, outside, and surrounding property at all times. We reserve the right to charge you for any damages or excessive cleaning needed from your stay. If you notice any problems upon checking in, please notify us immediately to avoid any damage charges.
Amenities: Occasionally amenities, like appliances, TVs, or hot tubs, may require repair. We will service or replace these amenities as quickly as possible. No rental concession or refunds will be given for time without these items. In addition, loss of electricity, water or other services out of our control will not result in a refund.
Hot Tub: Follow posted hot tub safety rules. There are inherent risks associated in using a hot tub, use at your own risk. Due to cleaning and servicing of the hot tub, sometimes it may not be up to full temperature at time of check in and require a few hours to heat. It may be necessary for us to access the hot tub for routine testing and maintenance during your stay. No glass is allowed around the hot tub area. If hot tubs are left in a dirty state requiring them to be dumped and refilled, you may be charged $50 per hot tub.
Tree House Hazards: There are inherent risks of staying in a tree house, including falling from a height, limbs/trees falling on the house or deck area, animals, insects, etc. These are risks that cannot be eliminated without changing the essential nature, educational and other values of the experience.
Personal Injury: Among the Trees Lodging maintains their properties with the upmost care and regard for our guest’s safety. All guests are responsible for their own actions during the course of their stay and agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Among the Trees Lodging LLC, the property owners, agents, employees and agrees not to sue them for damages or injuries to persons, their minor children, or property by reason of any cause either in or around the premises.
Quiet Time: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am is quiet time. Sounds carry farther at night. Please be considerate of others. Loud noise/music, etc. must be confined to your tree house at night. Loud or abusive behavior or language will not be tolerated and could result in eviction without any refund.
Cancellation/Refund Policy for Tree Houses
Cancellation more than 30 days prior to arrival receive deposit refund minus a $30 fee. Cancellations between 30 and 10 days before arrival receive a 50% refund minus a $30 fee. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to arrival will NOT receive any refund.
Change in arrival and/or departure date(s) can be considered a cancellation. No refunds are given for early departure or weather conditions. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for the winter season.
Pets: Dogs are permitted to stay in the Maple View Tree House with prior authorization and agree to adhere to our pet policy. $40 per stay/per pet applies. Limit 2 dogs. No pets are allowed in Buckeye Barn, the Safari Tree House or at Blissful Ridge Lodge.
- Pets are not to be left alone in the tree house unless crated.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of their pet’s droppings.
- Dogs are not allowed on the furniture.
- The dog owner guest hereby agrees that Among the Trees Lodging is held harmless for any loss or injury or accident suffered by your dog while a visitor to the tree house.
- The dog owner also hereby agrees that any damage or injury caused by their dog to our property or other persons is the sole responsibility and liability of the pet owner.
- Any additional cleaning that is needed due to excess dirt or fur left by your dog will result in a $50/hour cleaning fee.
Candles/Open Flames/Fires: Are not permitted in the treehouse, on the treehouse deck or on the bridge.
Fire pit: Do not leave fires burning unattended in outdoor fire pit. Please extinguish fire before leaving the fire pit area.
Smoking: Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not allowed in the tree houses. If evidence is found, a minimum of $100.00 will be charged to your credit card. Smoking is allowed outside with proper disposal of cigarette butts – not on the ground.
Hunting/ATV’s/Firearms/Fireworks: are not permitted at any time on Among the Trees Lodging properties.
Leave No Trace: Among The Trees Lodging practices “Leave No Trace” Land Ethics Policy. This simply means that you leave the natural surroundings as you found them, which includes staying on the marked trails to protect natural ground vegetation, not removing any items from their original environment, collecting and properly disposing of all trash and other items you brought into the woods, respecting the trees, wildlife and being considerate to other visitors. Any trees found to be defaced will result in a $300 fine. Thank you for helping take care of the environment.

YOUR VERBAL AUTHORIZATION AT TIME OF RESERVATION, MAKING AN ONLINE RESERVATION, PAYMENT OF MONEY AND/OR TAKING POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY IS EVIDENCE OF YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF OUR POLICIES AND YOUR INTENT TO USE THE PROPERTY AS A SHORT TERM VACATION RENTAL. VIOLATION OF ANY OF THESE POLICIES MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF THE RENTAL WITHOUT A REFUND
