Tree House FAQ

Running the water and electricity to the Tree Houses was a design challenge at the beginning.   However, it was a challenge that we were able to solve.   So yes, each Tree House has running water, which allows each Tree House to have a flushable toilet, a shower and sink.   Each Tree House also has their own AC/heater unit which the guests can adjust to their comfort.  These Tree Houses are like cabins but are supported by the trees.   Since the trees assist in holding up the Tree House, weight had to be considered when each one was designed.  That is also why you can feel the Tree House move slightly in the wind.

Yes, each Tree House has its own hot tub, which has is ideal to soak in after a day or hiking and exploring.   The Buckeye Barn and Safari Tree Houses hot tubs are located on the front deck, just steps from the front door.   The Maple View Tree House hot tub is located at the cable bridge entry.  They all are secluded and offer wonderful views of the trees and stars at night.

The Tree Houses are provided with all the sheets, blankets, towels and hot tub towels you need for your stay.   The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, dinnerware, hand soap, dish soap, and paper towels.   Each kitchen has a coffee pot, the filters and coffee are provided.   Propane is also provided for the BBQ.   A Welcome Notebook provides additional information on the Tree House, along with general area information.

Each Tree House is unique since they were designed around the trees chosen to support them:

The Maple View Tree House has a queen bed and two twin beds up in the loft that is accessed by a ship’s type ladder.  It also has a large front deck, and the hot tub is at the cable bridge entrance. Buckeye Barn Tree House has two queen beds, one in the bedroom and one is a pull-down wall bed behind the sofa.  The hot tub is on the front deck and has a back deck with the BBQ and eating counter.  Safari is studio-style unit, with a queen bed, hanging loveseat, and eating area.   The hot tub is also on the front deck and the back deck has the BBQ and table.   They each have a cable bridge and fantastic views.

We heard this request from a number of our guests, so we added a common fire pit area for the Tree Houses.   Since each of the Tree Houses are supported and surrounded by trees, we were not able to put a fire pit by each Tree House.   However, we found a clearing that is close to all the Tree Houses

You can park right at each Tree House during your stay.   To enter your Tree House, you will cross a cable bridge which has two steps at the entrance.   The cable bridge will swing a little as you walk across, and we ask that you don’t jump or run while on the bridge.   The Buckeye Barn Tree House has a short walk to its cable bridge.   At night, there are lights around the bridge and front decks that will welcome you to your tree house.   This cable bridge allows you to enter at the parking level and takes you over to the Tree House as the hill side drops off putting you about 18 to 20 feet off the ground.

The Tree Houses are all on the same property and you can walk between them if you want.   However, with the hills and trees, you cannot see another Tree House.   Each Tree House is secluded and is an ideal place to getaway to unplug and relax.

You need to be 18 or older to rent a Tree House.

Children love the experience of staying in a Tree House and we want to make sure they stay safe.   For that reason, children need to be 5 or older to stay.   This is due to the height of the tree houses.

All Tree House is pet friendly. There is a pet fee that can be added to your reservation if you plan on bringing your dog with you.

There is no Wi-Fi at the individual Tree Houses.   You are able to have good cell service and can create a hot spot with your phone to use streaming services on the TV.   The TV does not have cable, however, it has a DVD device connected so you can watch movies.
